Mobile Applications

As the acceptance rate of mobile computing devices increases at an accelerating pace, smartphones and mobile applications are becoming ubiquitous in college campuses and offices. This technology provides a new venue for delivering content specific to your organization to customers and employees, and collecting their feedback.

Institutional Application for Your Organization

The Engineering Computing Services in the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan – Dearborn has developed an iOS mobile app, MiEngin, which organizes and delivers useful and practical information to the student community. This app lets users read current news, view course catalog information and class schedules, register for classes, contact faculty and staff members, find walking and driving directions to locations on campus and login to e-learning software. Also, MiEngin features a mass emergency alert system, allowing the campus to alert students of emergencies and to distribute relevant safety information.
